Akihikari / Koshihikari Doubled-haploid Lines (DHLs) 212 lines

These plant materials consist of 212 doubled-haploid lines (DHLs) derived through anther culture of the F1 plants from a cross between two temperate japonica rice varieties, Akihikari and Koshihikari. The genotype for each DHL was determined using 135 RFLP markers and 34 RAPD markers, and a linkage map was constructed. These DHLs have been used in qualitative trait loci (QTL) mapping of cool-temperature tolerance at booting stage. Although the linkage map covered only about 60% of the rice genome due to the lack of polymorphisms, the genotype data for each DHL can be useful for QTL mapping of other complex traits.
