Nipponbare / Koshihikari // Nipponbare Backcross Inbred Lines (BILs) 79 lines This mapping population consists of 79 backcross inbred lines (BILs) developed from backcrosses of rice varieties Nipponbare / Koshihikari // Nipponbare by the single-seed descent method. The genotype of each line was determined using 111 DNA markers(102 SSRs and 9 SNPs) distributed along the 12 rice chromosomes. The linkage map may serve as a framework for mapping of additional DNA markers and can be useful in analysis of other QTLs.
A physical position of each marker (position on the genome) is based on IRGSP build 4.0. <Reference> Matsubara K, Kono I, Hori K, Nonoue Y, Ono N, Shomura A, Mizubayashi T,Yamamoto S, Yamanouchi U, Shirasawa K, Nishio T, Yano M (2008) Novel QTLs for photoperiodic flowering revealed by using reciprocal backcross inbredlines from crosses between japonica rice cultivars.
