Koshihikari / Kasalath Backcross Inbred Lines (BILs) 182 lines

This mapping population consists of 182 backcross inbred lines (BILs) developed from backcrosses of rice varieties Koshihikari / Kasalath // Koshihikari by the single-seed descent method. The genotype of each line was determined using 162 RFLP markers distributed along the 12 rice chromosomes and a linkage map was constructed. The linkage map may serve as a framework for mapping of additional DNA markers and can be useful in analysis of other QTLs.
