Sasanishiki / Habataki Backcross Inbred Lines (BILs) 85 lines

These plant materials consist of 85 backcross inbred lines (BILs) developed from backcrosses of rice varieties Sasanishiki (japonica) / Habataki (indica) // Sasanishiki /// Sasanishiki by the single-seed descent method. The genotype of each line was determined using 236 RFLP markers distributed along the 12 rice chromosomes. These BILs can be used as a permanent mapping population, and the linkage map can be used as a framework for additional mapping of DNA clones. The genotype data for each BIL could also be useful for QTL mapping of many traits. Please cite the reference below for publication of results using this material.

'A' represents a homozygous allele for Sasanishiki, 'B' for Habataki, and 'H' for a heterozygous allele.
